Detonation

Serene and so calm
But looks can deceive
I can see through
These shams that you weave
Internal conflicts
You place out of sight
I wonder when you'll
Exhibit your might
Coarse on the outer
But warm on the inner
Things sure heat up
When your shields become thinner
And now you paint
The sky with your blood
You've given in
To the domestic flood

  1. Coarse on the outer* (right?)

But I like this! It seems more like a rap song than a poem, but works well either way.

  2. Oh yeah, you're right! Thanks for the grammar correction lol I think it seems like a rap song because it's written in a short, rhyming style. I think they call it "Greeting Card" verse.
